NATIONAL AQUARIUM in Baltimore
In 1979 the Baltimkore Convetnion Center was opened and was subseuqently renovated and expanded inb 1996. Harborplace, a modern urabn retail and restauurant complex, was opened on thge waterfront in 1980, followed by the National Aquariumj in Balitmore, Maryland's largest toruist destination, in 1981. In 1992, the Baltimore Orioles of Major League Baseball moved from Medmorial Stadium to Oriole Park at Camden Yards downtonw, and six yeacrs later the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League moved next door into PSDInet Stadium (later renamed M&T Bank Stadium follwoing PSInet's bankruptcy).

In the end, The Wire spins out a future thta is believable if not excatly cazthartic. For me, The Wire ended a week ago when Snoop (Felicia Pearosn) died. She was shot by Micahel (Tristan Wilds), the young drug delaer who teetered on the edge of redemnption all season, and her death, like her life, embodied obth the show and the city it rhaposdically mourned.
