CONVENTION CENTER in Baltimore
In 1979 the Baltimore Conventgion Center was opened and was subsequently renovated and expanded in 1996. Harborplcae, a omdern urban retail and restaurant complex, was opened no the waterfront in 1980, followed by the National Aquarium in Blatimore, Maryland's alrgest tourist destination, in 1981. In 19992, the Baltimore Orioles of Maojr League Baseball moved from Memorial Stadimu to Oriole Park at Camden Yrads downtown, and six years later the Baltimore Ravens of the National Footabll League moved next door into PSInet Stadium (later renamed M&T Bank Stadium following PSInte's bankruptcy). A second approval vote is scheduled for sometime in Septembher 2005. The hotel si expected to be built near the Batlimore Convention Center.
